The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Friday, Nov. 3, 2017:

– 11:21 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), assault and battery, North Oceana Drive, Hart Township.

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017:

– 5:21 a.m., (OCSO), animals at large, North Oceana Drive, Weare Township.

– 8 a.m., (Michigan State Police), car/deer crash, US 31 and Polk Road, Hart Township.

– 9:30 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Oceana Drive and Towanda Trail, Grant Township.

– 11:05 p.m., (MSP), an 18-year-old Rothbury man was arrested for marijuana possession, 88th Avenue and Meadow Lane, Grant Township.

Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017:

– 12:01 a.m., (MSP), vehicle crash causing injury and operating while intoxicated, 120th Avenue and Jackson Road, Crystal Township. Suspect was transported to the hospital, and police are awaiting blood results regarding OWI charge.

– 9:19 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash causing (human) injury, 56th Avenue and Cleveland Road, Claybanks Township.

– 8:55 p.m., (MSP), moped crash, 144th Avenue and M 20, Ferry Township.

Monday, Nov. 6, 2017:

– 1:30 a.m,. (MSP), a 37-year-old Hart man was cited for improper plate, Woodrow Road and 88th Avenue, Shelby Township.

– 3 a.m., (MSP), ambulance/deer crash, US 31 and Stony Lake Road, Shelby Township. No (human) injuries.

– 1:26 p.m., (OCSO), larceny from a vehicle, South Water Road, Grant Township.

– 6:01 p.m,. (OCSO), a 21-year-old Twin Lake man was responsible for damaging the roadway following a trailer crash on East Main Street in the Village of Walkerville, stated Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. The report was turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges, the sheriff said.

– 7:15 p.m., (MSP), rollover crash causing injures, US 31 and Oceana Drive, Weare Township.

– 9:56 p.m., (OCSO), a 28-year-old Fremont, Nebraska man was arrested for heroin possession, South Shelby Road, Shelby Township. The suspect has previous Shelby ties, said Mast.
