HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Joel Belen Flores, 26, of 2301 N. 116th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 23 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Cody Nicholas-John Horton, 21, of 7041 Washington, Branch, was found guilty Oct. 17 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Joshua Joseph Norman, 19, of 2838 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 23 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance and one count of unlawful license plate use were dismissed.
– Noah James Moon, 34, of 5687 S. Oceana Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Oct. 23 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– MacKenzie David Quillen, 34, of 723 E. Filer St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 23 of marijuana use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; driver’s license suspended six months/restricted after 30 days; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed.
– Mark Cassius Leyrer, 53, of 8452 Bentley Hwy., Eaton Rapids, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 23 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Susan Beth Stephenson, 70, of 7851 Indian Bay Rd., Montague, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 23 to reckless use of a firearm and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; must continue counseling; and $450 in fines and costs. A felony count of discharging firearms in or at a building; one count of felony firearms; and a misdemeanor count of firearms – careless damages of $50 or less were dismissed following a trial by judge.
– Todd Ames Sikkema, 59, of 24247 Beacon Hill Terrace, Mattawan, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 23 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while under influence of liquor (OUIL) with a passenger under age 16 and operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) were dismissed.
– Jaime Gutierrez, 28, of 339 Dewey St., Shelby, was found guilty of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Michael Garcia, 42, of 4789 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 17 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Aaron Lee Girard, 25, of 884 Ada Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 17 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $325 in fines and costs.
– Angela Rae Singer, 35, of 2953 Tahoe Trail, New Era, was found guilty Oct. 17 of trespassing and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $325 in fines and costs.
– James Archie Ferguson, 25, of 8563 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty Oct. 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. Count of DWLS and operating without insurance were dismissed.
– Shane Robert Russell, 34, of 544 S. 48th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 17 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
