ELBRIDGE TOWNSHIP — Driving while on drugs led to a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday, Oct. 23, at 5:25 p.m. on East Harrison Road west of 152nd Avenue, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

A 29-year-old Hesperia man driving a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle received minor injuries in the crash and was transported by Oceana County EMS to Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus in Shelby, according to the report.

He was cited for operating under the influence of drugs. The report did not specify what type of drugs the man was allegedly using. The report stated that the man was speeding.

The man was westbound on Harrison Road when he lost control of his car and went off the road on the north side. His vehicle overturned and hit several trees before coming to rest on the driver’s side, the report narrative states.

He was wearing a seatbelt.
