Hesperia man arrested on several charges after crash.

NEWFIELD TOWNSHIP — A 29-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on numerous charges Saturday morning, Oct. 14, following a vehicle crash on East Fish Road near Maple Island Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The man was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, aggravated assault, marijuana possession, operating under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.

The assault victim is a 42-year-old Hesperia man, Mast said.

The following is other police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017:

– 1:10 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 22-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, South 192nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.

– 4:55 a.m., (OCSO), a 38-year-old Whitehall woman was arrested for methamphetamine possession, Rothbury Rest Area, southbound US 31, Grant Township.

– 8:15 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 35-year-old Oceana County man was arrested for domestic violence, Fifth Street, Golden Township.

Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017:

– 12:45 a.m., (MSP), a 37-year-old New Era man was arrested for domestic assault, 56th Avenue, Benona Township.
