HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit and 78th District courts:
27th Circuit Court
– Jessica Rose Meitner, 27, of 4647 N. 180th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Aug. 14 of unlawful use of a vehicle and was sentenced Oct. 9 to serve four months up front of a nine-month discretionary jail term with credit for 45 days served in jail; two years probation; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
78th District Court
– Shannon Tamaara South, 25, of 316 1/2 Huron St., Traverse City, was found guilty Aug. 14 of second-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced Oct. 3 to six months probation; vehicle immobilization for 90 days; 30 days to remove title; and $1,680 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable SOS.
– Joshua Paul Evelhoch, 26, of 7275 Sweeter Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Oct. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion and $290 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
– Thomas Ritter Wright, 60, of 2119 N. 6th St., Sheboygan, Wisconsin, was found guilty Oct. 2 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; six months probation; and $925 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Jonathon Carl Schamber, 32, of 501 E. Post Rd., White Cloud, was found guilty Oct. 2 of domestic violence and was sentenced to six months probation and $600 in fines and costs.
– Michael James Swaynie, 21, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Lot 14, Hart, was found guilty Oct. 3 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 60 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $325 in fines and costs. One felony count of malicious use of a telecommunications device was dismissed.
– Gilbert Boyce Eshoo, 18, of 11 Alton Rd., Prospect Heights, Illinois, was found guilty Oct. 3 of breaking and entering – illegal entry and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; six months probation; and $1,000 in fines and costs. One count of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) and one count of malicious destruction of property (MDOP) to a building less than $200 were dismissed.
– Zachary Thomas Blevins, 18, of 301 Lanchaster Ave., Prospect Heights, Illinois, was found guilty Oct. 3 of illegal entry and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; six months probation; and $1,000 in fines and costs. One count of MIP and one count of MDOP to a building less than $200 were dismissed.
– Shawn Alan Goerbig, 38, of 7080 Surf Court, Rothbury, was found guilty Oct. 9 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $200 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
– Kyle J. Starr, 24, of 7815 Amy School Rd., Howard City, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 3 of selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor and was sentenced to 60 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; 90 days probationary period/case may be dismissed if no further criminal activity; and $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Javier Jesus Flores, 46, of 1599 W. Shelby Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 3 of operating with a forged/altered license and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Larry William Berghuis, 37, of 7792 N. 186th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Thomas Dean Ragen, 34, of 2222 Osborn Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty by the court of assault and battery and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 60 days served and $530 in fines and costs. Ragen is lodged in the Newaygo County Jail for 10 months, his court file states. A second count of assault and battery was dismissed.
– Matthew Gregory Creed, 42, of 1960 E. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed.
– Pasha Janel Ruggles, 39, of 694 E. Thistle Rd., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 28 of attempted disturbing the peace and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 29 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; and $285 in fines and costs. One count of lying to a police officer during a serious misdemeanor investigation was dismissed.
– Karl Lee Civis, 34, of 11715 Oceana Dr., Montague, was found guilty Sept. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Margarito Rocha, 38, of 6872 N. 126th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 25 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Calvin Rennaker, 17, of 2570 W. Shelby Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 19 of defrauding an innkeeper and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; $216 in restitution; and $325 in fines and costs. One count of larceny by conversion less than $200 was dismissed.
– Karolyn Kay Buozis, 57, of 520 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 19 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year; no contact with the victim; and $325 in fines and costs. One count of stalking was dismissed.
– Josh Joseph Tatro, 21, of 5333 S. 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty of operating without a license and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance and one count of unlawful license plate use were dismissed.
– Pamela Jean Austin, 56, of 2701 Crystal Lake Rd., Lot 9, Whitehall, was found guilty Sept. 19 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance and one count of DWLS were dismissed.
– Robert Joseph Jeffries, 62, of 457 E. Third St., Pentwater, pleaded “no contest” Sept. 19 to trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $325 in fines and costs.
– Martin Pascual Berumen, 23, of 64 S. Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 19 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Joseph Alan Whelpley, 35, of 9077 W 13 Mile Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Sept. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
– Timothy David Wert, 36, of 1241 El Dorado Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida, was found guilty Sept. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
– Summer Jazmine Mitteer, 19, of 5548 108th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Aaron Lamar Reeves, 42, of 38015 Charwood Dr., Sterling Heights, Michigan, was found guilty Sept. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS with an ORV was dismissed.
Dismissal
– Madison Anne Fuller, 19, of 304 5th St., Ludington, one count of MIP dismissed. “The officer that cited the defendant failed to provide the prosecutor with an incident report in a timely manner,” her court file states.
