LEAVITT TOWNSHIP — The Hart post of the Michigan State Police investigated a complaint of a stolen Dodge pickup truck in the 6000 block of East Filmore Road Monday, Sept. 25, at 3:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Charles Hockanson.

Monday, Sept. 25, 2017:
– 4:33 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), second-degree retail fraud, Dollar General store, South Michigan Avenue, Village of Rothbury. Several food items were stolen, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. The police report is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.
– 6:06 p.m., (OCSO), animal cruelty, Tahoe Trail, Grant Township. A neighbor reported that a dog had not been fed or watered for several days, Mast said. A deputy investigated the scene, and advised that the dog appeared to be underweight, he said. The case has been turned over to Oceana County Animal Control.
Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017:
– 8 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, US 31 and Wayne Road, Weare Township.
– 4:20 p.m., (MSP), unemployment fraud, 9000 block of East Roosevelt Road, Greenwood Township.
– 10:32 p.m., (MSP), a warrant is being sought for operating while intoxicated following a rollover crash, 72nd Avenue and Shelby Road, Shelby Township.
