HART — A 7-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle after running out directly in front of it Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 13, at the intersection of Johnson and Water streets near the Hart Public Schools campus, according to Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

“The juvenile female received minor injuries and was transported by Oceana County EMS to a hospital in Muskegon for further evaluation,” Salazar said.

The girl “ran directly out in front of a vehicle which was traveling westbound on Johnson Street,” the chief said.

The Hart Police Department was assisted by Oceana County EMS and the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at 3:25 p.m.
