Safe stolen in break-in.



COLFAX TOWNSHIP — A safe containing personal records and no money was stolen during a breaking and entering Monday, Aug. 28, in the 9000 block of North Lee Drive in the Walkerville area, said Michigan State Police Sgt. Charles Hockanson of the Hart post.

The case is under investigation.

– 1:30 a.m., car/deer crash, Deer Road and 176th Avenue, Leavitt Township.

– 8:15 p.m., a 59-year-old Mattawan man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Shelby Road and US 31, Shelby Township.

– 9:15 p.m., a 30-year-old Shelbyville man was arrested for marijuana possession, Polk Road and Star Hill Drive, Hart Township.

Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017:

– 3:05 a.m., a 54-year-old Muskegon man was cited for operating an unregistered vehicle and improper plates, Oceana Drive and M 20, Shelby Township.

– 9 a.m., car/bobcat crash, US 31 and Polk Road, Hart Township.

Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017:

– 12:15 a.m., a 31-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for driving while license suspended and on a fugitive warrant, Bartlett and Forrest streets, Village of Rothbury.

– 9:15 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 and Webster Road, Grant Township.

– 10:30 p.m., trespassing complaint, 3000 block of 144th Avenue, Elbridge Township.
