Grandparents express thanks for finding missing granddaughters.

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, the Michigan State Police, and the Mason County Search & Rescue Team for their professional response August 21 when our granddaughters were missing.  Thanks also to those who prayed for the safe return of these precious girls, and for those who were on the lookout for them.

We are grateful for the efforts of those who were on the ground and those who were behind the scenes, including many members of the Sheriff’s Office, Troopers Skorka and Thenikal from the MSP Hart Post, and Trooper Carnes and Bo from the Rockford MSP K-9 Unit.  We are also grateful for Sergeant Thomas, who found the girls in their previous attempt to travel across the country to see their daddy.

Most of all, we are thankful that God in His infinite mercy brought the girls home safe and sound.  (They do plan to stay there.)
