HART — The following were arraigned recently in 78th District Court:

Felonies

Schaeffer

– Damian Lee Schaeffer, 18, of 1258 S. Wolf Lake Rd., Muskegon, was arrested Aug. 15 by the Shelby Police Department (SPD) for a felony of unlawful driving away of an automobile (car theft). He was arrested Aug. 16 by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a felony of receiving and concealing a stolen vehicle. Preliminary conference: Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety.

– Gilberto Lopez, 40, of 2905 Arthur Rd., New Era, was arrested Aug.

17 by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) for seven felony counts of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and one count of felony firearms. Preliminary conference: Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. Bail: $25,000/cash/surety.

– Jacqueline Martinez, 26, of 2263 W.

Fox Rd., Hart, was arrested Aug. 17 by OCSO for a felony of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police. Preliminary conference: Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent. In a separate file, Martinez is charged with a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Kimberly Ann Burns, 24, of 216 W. Sugar Grove Rd., Scottville, was arrested Aug. 14 for a felony of food stamp fraud $200-$1,000. Preliminary conference: Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent. (Mugshot unavailable)

– Zachary Edward Lahay, 21, of 7621 Alpine Ave., Sparta; Michigan State Police (MSP); indecent exposure. Pretrial: Aug. 31 at 4 p.m. Bail: $2,500/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Thomas Robert-Clark Umstead, 31, of 6045 Shelby Rd., Shelby; MSP; sex offender – failure to pay registration fee. Pretrial: Sept. 5 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $1,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

– Joshua Joseph Norman, 19, of 2838 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia; OCSO; second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Aug. 31 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent.
