HART — Following an extensive search, two runaway girls from the Hart area have been found safe by local law enforcement, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office began searching for the two missing girls Monday morning, Aug. 21, after the family contacted police.
The girls are sisters, 10-year-old Charlotte Thomas and 9-year-old Clarissa Thomas. They were reported missing at 8 a.m. and were last seen at midnight, Mast said.
Clarissa was found first, and then Charlotte was later found by the Michigan State Police K-9 Unit.
