HART — The following were recently sentenced in 27th Circuit Court:
– Randy Craig Denevan, 31, of 6835 Schow Rd., Holton, was found guilty May 30 of operating/maintaining a laboratory involving methamphetamine and was sentenced Aug. 14 to two and a half to 20 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison, with credit for 186 days served in jail, and $198 in fines and costs.
– Michael John Lyles, 46, of 6785 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby, was found guilty June 19 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Aug. 14 to 18 months to 10 years in an MDOC prison and $198 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance possession less than 25 grams was dismissed. He received no jail credit, because he was on parole at the time of the offense. His sentence runs consecutively to any parole violations he receives.
– Ariel Jennifer Robbins, 27, of 104 E. Wigton St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” June 19 to illegal use of a financial transaction device and was sentenced Aug. 14 to 15 days in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail; one year probation; $241 in restitution that is joint and several with co-defendant Kenneth Robbins; and $258 in fines and costs. One count of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent was dismissed.
– Kenneth Roscoe Robbins, 36, of 3094 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, pleaded
guilty June 19 to illegal use of a financial transaction device and was sentenced Aug. 14 to serve 60 days forthwith of a nine-month discretionary jail term with credit for one day served in jail; two years probation; $241 in restitution that is joint and several with co-defendant Ariel Robbins; and $258 in fines and costs. One count of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent was dismissed.
– Jessica Adale VanDyke, 36, of 8495 100th Ave., Alto, Michigan, was found guilty June 19 of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) and was sentenced Aug. 14 to serve one day up front of a six-month discretionary jail term with credit for one day served; three years probation; $858 in fines and costs; driver’s license suspended; and must successfully complete Sobriety Court in Kent County.
– Richard Paul Brown, 27, of 4545 W. Anthony Rd., Ludington, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Aug. 14 to serve one year in jail with credit for 359 days served. He was released from
jail, Aug. 14, to enter a substance abuse treatment program, according to court records. He will be placed on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) for the duration of his probation term, which is one year. He was also ordered to pay $276 in fines and costs. His driver’s license is suspended. Brown’s probation stems from a Jan. 5, 2015 conviction of third-offense OUIL.
