HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Joshua Daniel-Riggs Easton, 36, of 5724 S. Cherokee Bend, Rothbury, was found guilty Aug. 14 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine.
– Kimberly Marie Cochran, 30, of 2884 S. Mill Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Aug. 8 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
– Shelby Sue Wizorek, 23, of 538 Bayard St., Ionia, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 8 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS – ORV dismissed.
– Lizabeth Ruiz-Contreras, 18, of 5677 Okemos Trail, New Era, was found guilty Aug. 8 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Joseph Alan Riggs, 34, of 5839 W. 5th St., Mears, was found guilty Aug. 14 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $440 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Daniel D. Guerra, 25, of 2517 Yale Rd., Unit 1, New Era, was found guilty Aug. 14 of arson of personal property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One felony count of third-degree arson was dismissed.
– Dillon McCoy Ankney, 22, of 1839 Summer Set Court, Shelby, was found guilty Aug. 8 of allowing a person drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year; $448 in restitution; and $390 in fines and costs. One count of reckless driving was dismissed.
– Ace Harvey Krans, 21, of 4178 128th Ave., Allegan, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 8 of allowing a person drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
– Bradley Evan Klik, 27, of 3309 Crooks Rd., Rochester, Michigan, pleaded “no contest” Aug. 14 to disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.
– Jonathon James Rutledge, 22, of 503 Jefferson St., Apt. 2, Hart, was found guilty Aug. 14 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Danny Thomas Steffes, 30, of 2846 E. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 14 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; no contact with the victim; six months probation; and $925 in fines and costs.
– Lawrence Bonaventure Zahner, 18, of 439 Spartan Ave., E. Lansing, was found guilty Aug. 10 of marine safety – minor operating with a blood alcohol content (BAC) and was sentenced to $1,155 in fines and costs. One count of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) – marine was dismissed,
– Jordan Lee Hasty-Ruschkewicz, 28, of 3670 W. Polk Rd., Hart, was found guilty July 31 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $100 in fines and costs. He also pleaded “no contest” July 31 to failure to stop at an accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $150 in fines and costs. Convictions reportable to SOS. One count of unlawful motor vehicle use was dismissed.
– Trevor Keith Johnson, 29, of 2857 White Lake Dr., Twin Lake, was found guilty Aug. 14 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of third-offense OUIL was dismissed.
– Erik Scott Smith, 21, of 3315 S. 128th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Aug. 14 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of transporting open intoxicants and one count of operating while intoxicated were dismissed.
– Tate Ellen Burgess, 20, of 2701 Crystal Lake Rd., Lot 70, Whitehall, was found guilty Aug. 14 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
– Timothy Edward Pegg, 53, of 2908 W. Skeels Rd., Montague, was found guilty Aug. 14 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs. One felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed.
– Cory Allen Bradshaw, 24, of 650 E. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 14 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,205 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of DWLS and one count of marijuana possession were dismissed.
– Amy Louise Maynard, 46, of 5264 W. 160th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty Aug. 14 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. “If any further driving convictions within the year, court will impose jail time,” her court file states. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Bryan Steven Bodell, 54, of 5110 Russell Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Aug. 14 of DWLS and was sentenced to nine days in jail; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $440 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
