HART — A 25-year-old Naperville, Illinois man currently lodged in the Oceana County Jail pleaded guilty in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Aug. 14, to heroin possession.

Adam Paul Cappello was arrested by the Michigan State Police, June 25, at the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury for a felony of heroin possession less than 25 grams, according to his court file.

In exchange for his plea, Cappello’s jail time will be capped at three months, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

Cappello testified Monday before Judge Bradley G. Lambrix that he was in possession of “about .3 grams” of heroin.

He will be eligible for time served at the time of sentencing, which is set for Sept. 11 at 8:15 a.m.
