GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A driver and two passengers received non-life-threatening injuries in a Jeep rollover crash at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Saturday afternoon, Aug. 5, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The driver, a 50-year-old Chicago man “crested a dune/hill too fast,” the report states, and the 2017 Jeep Wrangler rented from Parrot’s Landing became airborne. “When the Jeep landed on the front end, it overturned.”
The driver and two passengers, a 44-year-old Tinley Park, Illinois man and a 16-year-old South Elgin, Illinois boy, were transported by ambulance to an area hospital, the report states. A fourth passenger, a 16-year-old Chicago boy, was not injured in the 2:45 p.m. crash.
All four people were wearing their seat belts, the report states.
