Pig roast kicks off Homecoming.

PENTWATER — VFW Post 6017, located at 8440 North US 31, is having bi-weekly dinners through September with proceeds going to the VFW’s building fund.

Dinners are slated for 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Next Tuesday’s dinner, August 8, serves as a kick-off for Pentwater Homecoming, which runs from Aug. 10-13. The menu includes: pig roast, potato salad, baked beans, broccoli pasta salad, corn on the cob and dinner rolls. Dessert includes: cherry, pumpkin, blueberry, coconut and banana cream pies, with whipped topping included. Unlimited drinks of lemonade, iced tea or coffee are available.

The cost is $10 for ages 12 and up; kids ages 6-11 are $5; and kids 0-5 are free.
