HART — If you are at least 21 years of age and able to make a commitment to a child, to advocate for them as they work their way through the courts and social service agencies, then you can help.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Oceana County is looking for more volunteers. A CASA is a trained citizen, appointed by the judge to represent the best interest of a child involved in abuse/neglect court proceedings. All volunteers receive 30 hours of training before being assigned to a case. For more information, email oceanacountycasa@gmail.com or call 616-796-4658.
