Burglaries, assaults among police activity.

ELBRIDGE TOWNSHIP – A breaking and entering was reported Friday, July 14, in the 2900 block of East Tyler Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. Several electronics were taken, including games and a TV, and some damage was done to the building, the sheriff said.
Then on Saturday, July 15, another breaking and entering was reported to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office in the 400 block of North 136th Avenue in Elbridge Township. The case is under investigation, Mast said.

Thursday, July 13, 2017:
– 1:59 a.m., (Michigan State Police), domestic assault, 2000 block of East Garfield Road, Ferry Township. The case is under investigation.
– 6:46 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), assault and battery, 9000 block of North Business 31, Pentwater Township.
– 8:43 p.m., (OCSO), assault and battery, 500 block of South 96th Avenue, Shelby Township.
Friday, July 14, 2017:
– 8:23 p.m., (OCSO), marijuana possession, West Duck Road, Golden Township.
– 10:07 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 8000 block of West Hazel Road, Golden Township.
Saturday, July 15, 2017:
– Noon, (MSP), civil complaint, 500 block of South Water Road, Hart Township.
– 3:30 p.m., (MSP), three-car crash, one driver fled the scene, Shelby Road near 16th Avenue, Benona Township.
– 10:25 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Tyler Road near 112th Avenue, Hart Township.
– 11 p.m., (OCSO), transporting open intoxicants, South 194th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
– 11:23 p.m., (OSCO), a 39-year-old Pentwater man failed to stop for police signals and was eventually arrested in Pentwater Township after a short pursuit. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
– 11:50 p.m., (MSP), suspicious vehicle, 126th Avenue near Jackson Road, Crystal Township.
Sunday, July 16, 2017:
– 4:50 a.m., (OCSO), operating while intoxicated, South 192nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.
– 1:47 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 200 block of North Pine Street, Village of Shelby.
– 5:31 p.m., (OCSO), larceny, 400 block of North 126th Avenue, Benona Township.
– 8:15 p.m., (OCSO), transporting open intoxicants, South 116th Avenue, Otto Township.
– 10:30 p.m., (MSP), two dogs running at large were killed after being hit by a car, Oceana Drive near Polk Road, Hart Township.
