78th District Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

Kimberly Irene Dekker, 24, of 5691 Crystal Lake Rd., Holton, was found guilty June 19 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $408 in fines, costs and restitution.

Michael Joseph Gamble, 48, of 311 Colby Rd., Whitehall, was found guilty June 19 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $447 in fines, costs and restitution. Two counts of larceny by conversion were dismissed.

Tara Lynn Brannam, 31, of 2120 Mill Iron Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty June 20 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year and $400 in fines and costs.

William Andrew Hunsucker, 64, of 5256 S. 184th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty of illegal disposal of solid waste and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $300 in fines and costs.

Patrick Wayne Wurthner, 32, of 7036 S. Apple Hill Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty June 13 of operating an ORV on a public road and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed. Wurthner was also found guilty June 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $290 in fines and costs.

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Chase, 21, of 701 5th St., Ludington, was found guilty June 13 of operating without an license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Nicole Marie Miller, 33, of 736 W. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge, Michigan, was found guilty June 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Gary Lee Dean, 66, of 1953 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 16 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

Roy J. Rotman, 50, of 6565 Winans Rd., Allendale, was found guilty June 13 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

Michael John Modrow, 22, of 2510 W. Meadow Ln., Rothbury, was found guilty June 13 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

Herbert Wayne Welch, 47, of 8811 Lyons St., Holton, was found guilty June 19 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to nine days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; six months probation; outpatient treatment; and $1,630 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Welch was also found guilty of unlawful license plate use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence with credit for time served if imposed. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated, one count of DWLS and one count of operating without insurance were dismissed.

Scott Warren Henning, 30, of 412 Dillingham Lane, Kalamazoo, was found guilty June 19 of disorderly person – drunk and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $100 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.

Isidoro Flores-Gomez, 22, of 263 W. Sixth St., Hart, was found guilty June 19 of DWLS and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $440 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

David Martin Greiner, 28, of 509 Wood St., Hart, was found guilty June 19 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to nine days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; outpatient treatment; and $1,665 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

Richard Isaac VanGunst, 30, of 4645 Ridge Rd., New Era, was found guilty June 19 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

Amanda Lee Conley, 29, of 6782 Deer Rd., Mears, was found guilty June 19 of operating while intoxicated with an occupant under age 16 and was sentenced to nine days in jail with credit for six days served; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; six months probation; outpatient treatment; and $1,780 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of second-offense operating while intoxicated and one count of DWLS were dismissed.

Donald Joseph Dembinski, 45, of 7870 E. Younker Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty June 19 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

Caleb Robert Wing, 22, of 6471 Baseline Rd., Bellevue, Michigan, was found guilty June 20 of operating an ORV while driver’s license suspended and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

James Arthur Kelly, 18, of 2429 Woltin Ave., New Era, was found guilty June 30 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days in jail at the court’s discretion for one year and $595 in fines, costs and restitution.

Edward Allen Dawkins, 45, of 8366 M 20, Hesperia, was found guilty July 3 of attempted failure to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

Thomas Webster Stoneman, 21, of 4103 N. Ridge Rd., Mears, was found guilty July 3 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Justin Thomas Wendt, 22, of 1022 Pointed Reef Way, Fort Wayne, Indiana, was found guilty July 3 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of delivery/manufacture of marijuana was dismissed.

Erik Lee Pokorny, 30, of 2948 Lake Tahoe Drive, New Era, pleaded no contest July 3 to malicious destruction of property (MDOP) $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to four days in jail; one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; $716 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

Ryan William Shepler, 28, of 55 E. Wilke Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty June 29 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Epifanio Alvarez, 23, of 302 Michigan Ave., Shelby, was found guilty June 30 of brandishing a firearm in public and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $225 in fines and costs. He must forfeit his taser to the arresting agency. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Roni Kaye McClernan, 50, of 5576 S. 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty June 30 of failure to provide an animal with adequate care and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $325 in fines and costs. Reduce the number of horses she owns to two or three, and horses must be relocated no later than July 7, her court file states.

Scott Alan Webster, 36, of 6355 Pontaluna, Fruitport, was found guilty June 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of ORV – open intoxicants was dismissed.

Trevor Scott Weinrick, 21, of 6263 Dalson Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty June 29 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $215 in fines and costs.

Peggy Jean France, 27, of 7206 Progress Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty June 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

Julie Ann Barnes, 35, of 96 E. Fifth St., Shelby, was found guilty June 29 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail over the next year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Michael John Olson, 55, of 880 Williams St., Muskegon, was found guilty June 29 of DWLS and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail over the next year to ensure compliance with sentence; and $290 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

Reynaldo Gualdemar Velasquez, 20, of Oceana County Jail, one felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed June 19 “without prejudice.”

Ramona Hill, 38, of 2720 E. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, one count of truancy was dismissed June 19 “without prejudice” due to a deferred sentence.

William Hill, 41, of 2720 E. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, one count of truancy was dismissed June 19 “without prejudice” due to a deferred sentence.
