Prosecutor: Warrants for 13 felonies, 17 misdemeanors at EF.

ROTHBURY — So far, the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office has prepared 27 warrants containing 13 felony counts and 17 misdemeanor counts arising out of criminal offenses that occurred during the Electric Forest Festival.
The gigantic music festival takes place annually at the Double JJ Resort, and this year it was expanded into two weekends. The second weekend ended Sunday night, June 2.
The breakdown of criminal charges is the following:
Felonies:
– Three counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance;
– Three counts of possession of cocaine;
-Three counts of resisting/opposing/assaulting police (one resulting in injury);
– One count possession of MDMA;
– One count of attempted unlawful driving away of an automobile (car theft);
– One count carrying a concealed weapon;
– One count of false report of a public threat.
Misdemeanors:
– Seven counts of possession of marijuana;
– Three counts of domestic violence;
– One count of assault and battery;
– Two counts of larceny;
– One count of malicious destruction of property;
– One count of disorderly conduct;
– Two warrants requesting extradition to another state (known as a fugitive warrant).
“Please note, this is the number of warrants prepared and would not account for individuals who are facing charges that can be cited in a ticket,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. “This also does not include any charges that would be pending the result of a necessary lab test to proceed.”
