Obituary: Lowell Green, 74, formerly of Hart. 

Lowell Green, 74, formerly of Hart, passed away June 25, 2017 at his home in Marmaduke, Ark. following a long illness. He was born August 3, 1942 to the late Lowell Wilford Green of Hart and Dorothy (Davey) Evans of White Cloud. He grew up in Hart before moving to Flint where he lived for many years. He loved old style country music and spent many nights playing guitar and singing on stage at nightclubs around Flint or entertaining friends and family at home. In the clubs he was known as Rocky but the family called him Tom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Ollie Hardcastle and Helen Atwell. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Elizabeth (Hoffman) Green, his sons: Lowell (Char) Green Jr. and Roland (Christie) Green both of Marmaduke, Ark., a daughter: Jennifer (Lee) Owens of Piggott, Ark., grandchildren: Haley (Alex) Edwards, Jake Edwards, Meredythe Edwards, Katie Green, Roland Green Jr, Kourtnie (Allen) Farmer, Erin Dixon and Thomas Dixon, his brother: Oliver Wilcoxon of Princeton, Ind., sisters: Gloria Ingols of Wabash, Ind., Judy Bulson of White Cloud, Mary Bulson of White Cloud, Jane Tice of Muskegon, Patricia Jarrett of Great Falls, Mont., and Millie Pierce of Hesperia.


Services were held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke, Ark. with interment at the Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery.
