78th District Court sentencings.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Eric William Tatro, 22, of 5333 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 22 of operating a vehicle without insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of operating an unregistered vehicle was dismissed.

– Kevin Aden Page, 35, of 1481 Beidler, Muskegon, was found guilty April 24 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Brian Christopher Ford, 44, of 602 S. State St., Hart, was found guilty May 22 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $220 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Chad Mitchell Riggs, 42, of 6749 W. Taylor Rd., Mears, was found guilty May 22 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $300 in fines and costs.

– John Joseph Norman, 20, of 5665 S. 142nd Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty May 22 of domestic violence and was sentenced to nine days in jail; six months probation; 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $550 in fines and costs.

– Dylan Wyatt King, 21, of 312 Walnut St., Shelby, pleaded “no contest” Feb. 6 to marijuana possession and was sentenced May 22 for probation violation to 90 days in jail; credit for time served if imposed; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days; and $525 in fines and costs. Probation terminated upon release.

– Kristopher Jay Humphreys, 39, of 1452 W. Winston Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty May 16 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $215 in fines and costs.

– Kristy Ann Miller, 35, of 927 N. Dickinson Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 16 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to 90 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Ernest Lester Gilbert, Jr., 54, of 480 W. Main St., Walkerville, was found guilty May 16 of dog running at large and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $155 in fines and costs.

– Manuel Garcia, Jr., 46, of 514 Fowler St., Shelby, was found guilty May 16 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Lasey Iniz Rood, 34, 1888 N. 122nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty May 16 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Second-offense notice dismissed.

– Tyler Joe Brown, 24, of 4545 W. Anthony, Ludington, was found guilty of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced May 22 to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $110 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Casey Jesus Melchor, 27, of 578 S. Harvey St., Shelby, was found guilty May 22 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Timothy Paul McLouth, 53, of 51 Ferry St., Shelby, was found guilty May 22 of marijuana use and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $250 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of marijuana possession dismissed.

– Johnathon Robert McClernan, 20, of 5576 S. 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 22 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $100 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence dismissed. He was also found guilty of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) and was sentenced to $100 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Another count of MIP was dismissed in a separate file.
