SHELBY — Voters in the Shelby Public Schools district rejected two bond proposals for a $20 million improvement project Tuesday, May 2.
The project would have located all grade levels on one campus and funded construction of a new multi-purpose gym.
Proposal 1 failed 745-595, and Proposal II failed 780-557, according to “unofficial results” from the Oceana County Clerk’s Office.
Results are not official until they are approved by the Oceana County Board of Canvassers, which meets Wednesday, May 3, at 1 p.m.
