HART — Jason LaFever and Steve Hegedus were elected with 71 and 44 votes, respectively, to the Hart City Council during a write-in campaign Tuesday, May 2.

LaFever and Hegedus were among three candidates battling for two city council seats.

Edward Simon IV gained 24 votes.

The results from the Oceana County Clerk’s Office are “unofficial” until they have been approved by the Oceana County Board of Canvassers Wednesday, May 3.
