Hart post hosts open house celebrating MSP’s 100th anniversary.

HART — The Michigan State Police (MSP) Hart Post invites the community attend its 100th Anniversary Open House Saturday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visitors will be able to meet troopers from the post and members of the Emergency Support Team, Marine Services Unit and Canine Unit. Historical items from the department will also be on display, including the 1975 Plymouth Grand Fury patrol vehicle. Activities will include face painting and child safety ID kits, including fingerprinting.
MSP Recruiters will also be available for those who wish to learn more about joining the MSP.
Members of the post encourage the community to participate in the fun-filled event suited for both children and adults.
“It will be a fun and interesting event for all ages,” said MSP Sgt. Charles Hockanson. “It’s a great way for the community to learn about the history of the Michigan State Police.”
The Hart post is located at 3793 W. Polk Rd.
