HART — A 40-year-old Wallkerville woman faces jail time after pleading guilty Monday, April 10, in 27th Circuit Court to forgery.

Danella Marie Conkle, of 4300 N. 188th Ave., was charged in two separate files with felonies of forgery and uttering and publishing. The other counts were dismissed when she pleaded to one count of forgery, which is a 14-year felony.

Restitution in the matter is reserved, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. Conkle’s up-front jail time will be capped at 60 days with a discretionary sentence, Bizon said.

“I wrote a check that wasn’t mine,” Conkle testified before Judge Bradley Lambrix, admitting that she forged a person’s name on the check last December.

According to her court file, the crime occurred at the Lake Osceola Bank in Walkerville.

Sentencing is set for May 22.
