#OceanaCountySubstanceAbusePrevention
HART — Local residents have the opportunity to receive incentive prizes for providing their input on drug and alcohol use trends in the community.
The Oceana County Substance Abuse Prevention coalition (OSAP) is gathering insight from residents ages 18-45 through an online survey. Those completing the survey will have a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card by submitting a separate contact form after providing anonymous responses to the survey questions.
The local coalition is conducting the survey to better understand adult’s behaviors and attitudes toward drugs and alcohol. The information collected will help to fill in the gaps where current data is lacking, and will be used to strengthen health improvement efforts.
“The mission of OSAP is to achieve a measurable reduction in youth drug and alcohol use by empowering our community to embrace and engage effective, local data driven-strategies,” states a press release from District Health Department #10.
For questions about this project or the coalition, contact Kortni Garcia at kgarcia@dhd10.org or (231) 902-8539.
OSAP’s next coalition meeting is Wednesday, April 12, from 8-10 a.m. at the Hart Community Center located in the Hart City Hall building. Any community member is welcome to attend.
