Car crashes into telephone pole.

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 38-year-old Montague woman driving a 2002 Ford Focus crashed into a fiberoptic telephone pole on Water Road near the Double JJ Resort Friday afternoon, March 17, after losing control of the car on the slushy roadway.
The woman was not injured in the crash, said Oceana County Sheriff’s Deputy Dave Gregwer, but “she was shaken up.”
The woman was northbound on Water Road, south of Clay Road near Rothbury, when she came around a curve, and the car’s bald tires hit the built-up slush, the deputy said. The car went sideways down the road, spun around and struck the pole with its rear end.
Oceana County County EMS checked the woman for injuries. The car was towed from the scene.
