GRANT TOWNSHIP — Three cows were on the loose on southbound US 31 near Oceana Drive Monday morning, March 13, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene near the Muskegon County line at 10:31 a.m. to assist Oceana County Animal Control with the loose cows. A Muskegon County sheriff’s deputy assisted at the scene and had corralled the animals.

No injuries occurred, Mast said.

The sheriff’s office was called to another incident involving loose cows Tuesday afternoon, March 14, at 116th Avenue and Wilke Road in Otto Township, the sheriff said. Two calves were reportedly in the roadway.
