HART — The Hart Police Department is investigating two separate complaints of vandalism that occurred at Hart City Hall and Hansen Foods.

Vandals used markers to leave graffiti on the exterior of the west end of the city hall building on State Street, said Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar. The incident was reported Thursday, Jan. 26, at 8:30 p.m.

Vandals also hit the northeast corner of the Hansen Foods building on West Polk Road, the chief said. The incident was reported Friday, Jan. 27, at 11:20 a.m.

Both cases are under investigation.

Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017:

– 6 p.m., (HPD), larceny theft from a vehicle, 3000 block of West Polk Road. A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle and was recovered. An investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Jan. 27, 2017:

– 10:37 a.m., (HPD), larceny, 300 block of Water Street. A bag was taken from the porch area of a home. The incident occurred some time between Jan. 25 and 26. An investigation is ongoing.

Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017:

– 7:34 p.m., (HPD), a A 21-year-old Shelby man was arrested for  probation violation and cited for hit and run (leaving the scene of an accident), 400 block of Hart Street. A separate report of drug possession was forwarded to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017:

– 1:56 p.m., (HPD), a 25-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for two bench warrants, Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, 216 Lincoln Street.

– 5:35 p.m., (HPD), a 37-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic assault, 400 block of Hart Street.

Monday, Jan. 30, 2017:

– 10:36 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), medical assist, 700 block of East McKinley Road, Rothbury.

– 1:46 p.m., (OCSO), vehicle crash, no injuries, West Polk Road near North 112th Avenue, Hart Township.

– 4:14 p.m., (OCSO), motorist assist, South 144th Avenue at East Pierce Road, Ferry Township.

– 4:45 p.m., (HPD), non-sufficient funds check, 400 block of Wood Street. An investigation is ongoing.

– 6:59 p.m., (OCSO), vehicle in ditch, US 31 near Winston Road, Grant Township.

– 7:01 p.m., (OCSO), vehicle in ditch, US 31 near Winston Road, Grant Township.

– 8:40 p.m., (OCSO) traffic hazard, 300 block of Runner Street, Shelby Village.

– 9:10 p.m., (OCSO), vehicle crash involving minor injuries, West Monroe Road, Weare Township.

– 10:56 p.m., (OCSO), a 29-year-old Shelby man was cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle, South 68th Avenue, Shelby Township.

Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017:

– Midnight, (OCSO), a 29-year-old Muskegon woman arrested on several outstanding warrants at the Muskegon County line, Grant Township.
