OTTO TOWNSHIP — After a vehicle slid into the rear of another vehicle early Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, on 116th Avenue, south of Wilke Road, five additional vehicles slid off the road in the same general area, said Oceana County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Shane Hasty.

One person received a minor injury in the initial crash, Hasty said. The person was transported to an area hospital to be checked out for a “stiff neck.”

“While waiting for the road commission truck and tow truck, five additional vehicles also went off the road,” Hasty said. The vehicles slid off in areas north and south of the crash site. No other injuries were reported.

– 10:50 p.m., (MSP), a 28-year-old Hart man was arrested on a fugitive warrant and a charge of resisting/obstructing police, 1300 block of East Madison Road, Crystal Township.
