HART — The Hart Police Department is investigating a breaking and entering that occurred Monday, Jan. 2, in the 500 block of South Courtland Street.

Miscellaneous items were stolen after an intruder or intruders gained entry to an unlocked porch, said Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2016:

– Between noon and 2 p.m., (HPD), larceny from an unlocked vehicle, likely occurred in Gale’s IGA parking lot near the Laundry Basket Laundromat. A purse containing a large amount of money was stolen. The purse was later recovered with no money in it.

– 4:33 p.m., (HPD), a 44-year-old Hesperia woman was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), Polk Road near the US 31 overpass.

– 5:50 p.m., (HPD), two-car crash, no injuries, Hart High School parking lot.

Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2016:

– 11:59 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), motorist assist, US 31, Shelby Township.

– 12:32 p.m., (OCSO), motorist assist, US 31, Grant Township.

– 12:45 p.m., (OCSO), suspicious situation, Shelby High School, under investigation, appears unfounded.

– 4:17 p.m., (OCSO), warrant arrest of a 45-year-old Norton Shores woman on a Michigan State Police traffic warrant at the courthouse.

– 4:22 p.m., (OCSO), warrant arrest of a 50-year-old Custer man for an MSP traffic warrant at the courthouse.

– 4:33 p.m., (OCSO), warrant arrest of a 49-year-old Hesperia woman on an MSP traffic warrant at the courthouse.

– 5:47 p.m., (OCSO), one-car crash, South 204th Avenue near Taylor Road, Leavitt Township. A 40-year-old Walkerville woman was not injured.

– 6:38 p.m., (OCSO), wellbeing check, report of a girl sitting in the ditch, North 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. Unfounded.
