HART — Due to the community’s huge outpouring of support, there is a surplus of clothing items donated to the 16 or more Parkview Manor fire victims, who lost everything in a massive apartment fire, Dec. 15.
There are are several items left over after the victims selected what they needed, according Rhonda Gallop of the First Baptist Church, the donation distribution center. The church is having a sale Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 28 and 29, with proceeds going to the fire victims to “help with some personal needs they have,” Gallop said.
Two of the complex’s six buildings were completely destroyed in the blaze, and six people received minor injuries.
