HART — In the true spirit of giving, the local community has rallied together to help the victims of the devastating fire at Parkview Manor Thursday morning, Dec. 15.

Oceana’s Home Partnership has provided a list of specific needs of the residents who lost everything in the massive fire that destroyed two of the complex’s six buildings:

  • Men’s 3X shirts/pants; size 11 shoes/socks
  • Men’s 36×30 pants (jeans); Large shirt; size 10 tennis shoes
  • Women’s 14 pants; L/XL shirts; size 8.5 or 9 boots/tennis shoes
  • Men’s 32×32 pants (prefer overalls); M shirts; long johns; size 8.5 shoes
  • Women’s 8 petite pants; M shirt; size 8 shoes
  • Women’s 8/10 pants; M/L shirt; size 8.5 or 9 tennis shoes/boots
  • Men’s 40×30 pants; 2XL TALL shirts; 13 EEEE shoes/boots

Big Hart Brewing Company and Gale’s IGA are the official drop-off locations for any donations. “There has not yet been a designated person/agency to receive cash donations at this time. We will post that once it has been determined. Thank you for being such a wonderful community!!” OHP’s Facebook page states.

Multi Serve, the parent company of Tri City Restoration in Hart, is offering everyone displaced by the fire a free meal at BC Pizza.
Fire victims are encouraged to visit the local BC Pizza in Hart for a free lunch or dinner through Monday, Dec. 19. They must show their ID or proof of residency.

“We are saddened to hear of the displacement and injuries from the fire and hope that this can make this tough time a little easier for those affected. We will also be taking holiday donations at our Hart location at 3129 N. 56th St. until Dec. 23,” according to the company’s Facebook post.
