HART — The following proceedings recently occurred in 78th District Court:

Sentencing

– Michael Ray Hale, 29, of 105 Woodlawn Ave., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 28 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with court orders; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Daniel Todd Prine, 24, of 816 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, one count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed Nov. 28 through a delayed sentence, according to court records.

– Michael David Pearson, 44, of 6760 W. Deer Rd., Mears, one count of sex offender – attempted failure to comply with reporting duties was dismissed Nov. 28 through a delayed sentence, his court file states.

– Carlos Miguel Silva, 30, of 7536 Whitehall Rd., Whitehall, one count of disturbing the peace was dismissed Nov. 28 through a delayed sentence, according to court records.

– Derek Luedtke, 45, of 17 Griswold St., Hart, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Nov. 29. “The fight was determined to be mutual combat,” his court file states.

– Jacob Thomas Stefans, 27, of 571 Spencer Rd., Mears, one count of sex offender – failure to comply with reporting duties was dismissed Nov. 28. “This case is dismissed on the motion of the court without prejudice (which does not bar the prosecution from refiling charges within the applicable limitations period). Defendant shall be immediately discharged in this case.”
