HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:
– Steven Geno Rice II, 40, of 4820 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 14 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $450 in fines and costs. Third-offense notice dismissed.
– Tawnya Lyn Chaidez, 34, of 1130 E. Clock Rd., Hart, was found guilty Nov. 15 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days at the court’s discretion over the next one year and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Second-offense notice dismissed.
– Charley Spencer Dakin, 20, of 7626 E. Grant Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Nov. 14 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) – blood alcohol content (BAC) .02-.07 and was sentenced to outpatient treatment as recommended by a substance abuse evaluation and $615 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Jamie Kay McBride, 45, of 1622 W. Court St., Flint, was found guilty Nov. 14 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days; court discharged from probation; and $644 in fines and costs.
– Angela Marie Calton, 52, of 4726 W. Sidney Rd., Sidney, Michigan, was found guilty Nov. 14 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE) as recommended by substance abuse evaluation; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One counto of operating with a high BAC was dismissed.
– James Richard Bowler, 22, of 2510 W. Meadow Lane, Rothbury, was found guilty Nov. 14 of operating without security (no insurance) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.
– Brandy Lynn Huizenga, 30, of 3059 S. Oceana Dr., Shelby, was found guilty Nov. 14 of no insurance and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of failure to display a valid license was dismissed.
Dismissal
– Albert Davis, 29, of 285 Lakeview Dr., White Cloud, one count of failure to register as a sex offender was dismissed Nov. 14 “on the motion of the court without prejudice. Defendant shall immediately be discharged from confinement in this case.”
