No overnight parking on city streets.

HART — Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar reminds city residents that overnight parking is not allowed on city streets or parking lots during the winter months of November through March for snow removal purposes.

According to the city ordinance, it is unlawful to park a vehicle on city streets and parking lots from 2-6 a.m. every day except for medical emergencies in the City of Hart.

First-time offenders can be found guilty of a civil infraction, and second or subsequent offenders within one year could be convicted of a misdemeanor, according to the ordinance.

“The city parking lots located in the downtown area are marked as odd and even lots,” the chief said. “Make sure you park on the correct parking lot as marked. This is to allow for snow removal of parking lots.”

If anyone has any questions, they can contact Salazar at 231-873-2488.
