NEW ERA — A snowblower valued at over $1,000 was stolen Saturday, Oct. 29, from Veltman Hardware, where it was displayed outside on the sidewalk in front of the store, according to Lt. Craig Mast of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The snowblower is “a walk-behind black Briggs and Stratton” that is “brand new with a price tag on it for $1,029 and all the paperwork with it,” Mast said.

The larceny took place some time between approximately 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators have no leads at this point. If anyone has information about the case, they are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 231-873-2121.
