Alcohol factor in rollover crash, warrant pending.

ELBRIDGE TOWNSHIP — A warrant is pending for a 31-year-old Walkerville woman who crashed the 1999 GMC Suburban she was driving early last Friday morning, Oct. 7, into a tree near East Tyler Road and North 144th Avenue, according to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was transported by ambulance for serious injuries in the 2:20 a.m. rollover crash, according to the report. The woman, who was wearing a seatbelt, was trapped inside the Suburban and had to be extricated, the report states. Blood was drawn, indicating that she was under the influence of alcohol.

“Driver left roadway right coming into right curve,” according to the report. “Vehicle then re-entered roadway; crossing roadway; and leaving roadway on left side. Vehicle then re-entered roadway; crossing roadway; and went off right side of roadway. Vehicle started to slide sideways and then rolled, over drive, and rolled over again coming to rest on a tree.”
