HART — A 54-year-old Hesperia man who pleaded “no contest” to assault with intent to commit second-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Sept. 12, is looking at serving an 18 month to five year prison term.

In exchange for his plea to the added count, charges of first-degree CSC and second-degree CSC were dismissed against Victor Manuel Gonzalez, Jr., of 3630 Baker Rd. The plea agreement calls for capping his sentence at 18 months.

The case involves a victim under the age of 13, according to his court file.

He is lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.

Sentencing is set for Oct 24 at 9 a.m.
