HART TOWNSHIP — One suspect has been arrested and warrants are pending for two more suspects allegedly involved in a breaking and entering that resulted in the theft of 50-inch color TV and $3,000 in cash, according to Oceana County Sheriff’s Lt. Craig Mast.

The break-in occurred Tuesday, Aug. 30, between 2 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Tyler Road in Hart Township, Mast said.

“The residents were not home, but the neighbors heard a commotion,” he said. When the Good Samaritan neighbors went to check on the house, they realized there was a vehicle fleeing from the scene. “The neighbors then checked the next-door residence and found it had been gone through and several items appeared to be missing.”

The residents later notified the sheriff’s office that they were missing their 50-inch color TV and $3,000 in cash.

Luckily, the neighbors obtained a description of the vehicle, and deputies used the vehicle’s description to establish a suspect. The suspect was later located, and the TV and $1,100 were recovered, Mast said.

“Other suspects are being investigated, and the complaint is active,” he said. Warrants are pending for the other two suspects.
