HART — A 33-year-old Shelby woman accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month for a felony of second-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC).

Jennifer Wigren, 33, of 50 Woodrow Rd., remains lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $25,000/cash/surety bond.

Wigren faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

The alleged sexual assault, which reportedly involved taking photographs, occurred “fairly recently,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

A preliminary conference in 78th District Court is set for Monday, Aug. 29, at 3 p.m.
