27th Circuit Court sentencings include breaking and entering, assaulting police

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 27th Circuit Court:

– Christopher Russell Dustman, 37, of 13890 Oakwood Circle, Grand Haven, was found guilty June 20 of breaking and entering with intent. He was sentenced Aug. 15 to serve 201 days of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for 201 days served; 18 months probation; $500 in restitution; and $400 in fines and costs. The remainder of the restitution, which is joint and several with co-defendant Brandon Dustman, will be held in abeyance until a formal hearing Sept. 26.

– Kimberly Sue Cushman, 31, of 3585 S. Maple Island Rd., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” June 20 to assaulting/resisting/opposing police and was sentenced Aug. 15 to serve four months upfront of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for two days served; work release allowed; 18 months probation; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Armando Gregorio Gutierrez, 27, of 2880 W. Polk Rd., Hart, was found guilty June 20 of larceny in a building and sentenced Aug. 15 to serve two months upfront of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for three days served; 18 months probation; and $460 in fines, costs and restitution.

– Brandon Michael Hughes, 44, of 8086 W. Grant Rd., Shelby, was found guilty July 18 of third-offense domestic violence and sentenced Aug. 15 to serve four months upfront of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for 58 days served; 18 months probation; no contact with the victim; and $400 in fines and costs.

controlled substance possession less than 25 grams and sentenced Aug. 15 to serve six months of a one-year discretionary term beginning Sept. 5, with credit for 50 days served; driver’s license suspended six months with a restricted license after 30 days; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of possession of a non-narcotic was dismissed.

– Edwin Scott Seymour, 23, of 417 N. State St., Shelby, was found guilty July 18 of fleeing a police officer and sentenced Aug. 15 to serve three months upfront of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for one day served; 18 months probation; $1,280 in restitution ($1,080 to he Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and $200 to the Michigan State Police); and $400 in fines and costs.
