HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:

Wilson

– Jacob Allen Wilson, 28, of 5215 W. Fox Rd., Mears, pleaded “no contest” June 20 to assault with a weapon/felonious assault and was sentenced Aug. 1 to 18 months to eight years in prison with credit for 117 days served in jail; $875 in restitution; and $258 in fines and costs. Charges of assault by strangulation; larceny $100-$1,000; and arson pre-burn $200-$1,000 were dismissed.

guilty June 21 of embezzlement $1,000-$20,000 was sentenced Aug. 1 to serve 30 days forthwith of a 90-day discretionary jail term with credit for one day served; two years probation; $13,587.07 restitution; and $400 in fines and costs.

Barrett

Barrett

– Jason Frederick Barrett, 28, of 2109 N. Mears St., Mears, was found guilty June 20 of controlled substance possession – narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams and was sentenced Aug. 1 to serve 255 days forthwith of a one-year discretionary jail term; driver’s license suspended 30 days/restricted 150 days; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of operating with the presence of a controlled substance and one count of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) were dismissed.

– Russell John Masse, 53, of 602 Melendy St., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” June 1 to controlled substance possession – narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams and received an amended sentence Aug.

1 serving 225 days forthwith of a one-year discretionary jail term with credit for 172 days served; two years probation; $400 in fines and costs; and driver’s license suspended 60 days/restricted 305 days. Sentence runs concurrently with a Mason County case. One count of use of a narcotic or cocaine dismissed.
