Hepworth’s wife, Amanda, posted the following on Facebook Tuesday morning:
“Missing Father/Husband:
My husband James voluntarily left work yesterday midshift. He has been dealing with depression for a few months now. His phone is off and I have had no contact with him. I would like help in looking for him and his vehicle to make sure he is okay. He is almost 38 years old, 5′ 10. He was wearing black shorts, black shirt or maybe a blue plaid button up over top. He loves hiking and may take his hammock out in (the) woods with him.
Vehicle is a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, a light blue in color. He has two mounted KC Hilites “Daylighters” on his grill area making him very unique and recognizable. Also has a Ludington State Park sticker on back by license plate. License plate is DAG 2277 If you see this vehicle, message me or call 231-869-5858 for dispatch.
He was last seen in Ludington at Haworth at noon on Monday and has not made contact with anyone since.”
Mast said the sheriff’s office has been trying to ping his cell phone, but has been unsuccessful.
If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact OCSO at 231-873-2121 or call 911.
