PENTWATER TOWNSHIP — A 28-year-old Hillsdale, Michigan man was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office early Thursday morning, June 9, for operating while intoxicated – boating.

Evan Watkins was located by the US Coast Guard off the coast of Pentwater Township and was found to be “highly intoxicated,” said OCSO Lt. Craig Mast. “He was transported to dock in Pentwater Village, and there our deputy did an OWI investigation and placed him under arrest.”

Watkins was arraigned in 78th District Court.
