SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the larceny of a US flag from Dad’s Automotive, at 3505 S. Oceana Dr.

“The staff had received two American flags as an appreciation for a donation they had given to the Shelby American Legion,” said Oceana County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Craig Mast. “The staff had displayed one of these flags up until a few days ago when it came up missing. The bracket is still there, but the flag and the pole that it was on are now gone.

“The staff at Dad’s Automotive is hoping someone will see this article and recognize that a flag of theirs had been stolen and that it may be returned,” Mast said.

The larceny was reported Wednesday, June 8, at approximately 11:20 a.m.

Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact OCSO at 231-873-2121.
