HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Colin Maurice Kleiner, 20, of 2967 E. Pierce Rd., Shelby, was found guilty May 17 of taking/possessing over-limit bucks and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; hunting license suspended for three years; $2,000 restitution; and $385 in fines and costs.

– Michael Charles Smith, 53, of 9025 River Ridge Rd., Middleville, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 8 of second-offense operating while intoxicated and sentenced May 16 one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; two years probation; not to purchase/possess a firearm; subject to counseling/testing/searches as required by probation; no alcohol/drugs; no contact with probationers or felons; must complete sobriety court; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of third-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Fabian Garza, 45, of 3261 W. Winston Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty May 16 of operating a motor vehicle without security and sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs.

– Esmeralda Josie Rodriguez, 17, of 3184 W. Pawnee Trail, New Era, was found guilty May 16 of lying to a peace officer and sentenced to one year discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $200 in fines and costs.

– Shawn Michael Ruse-Kiogima, 21, of 246 S. Carroll St., Pentwater, was found guilty May 17 of domestic violence and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine.

– Ottoniel Fonseca, 20, of 211 S. Dryden St., Hart, was found guilty of attempted breaking and entering of a vehicle and sentenced to 46 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) was dismissed.

– Steven Geno Rice, 19, of 4820 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty May 16 of third-degree retail fraud and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine. A second count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed.

– Jermarko Terry Moore, 34, of 508 S. Griswold St., Hart, was found guilty with a “no contest” plea May 16 of assault and battery and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and a $75 fine.

– Scott Alan Butcher, 31, of 2233 W. Lever Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 16 of failure to report an accident and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Luis Angel Mendez, 21, of 3559 S. 132nd Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 16 of selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor and sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. A second count of selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor was dismissed.

– Brian Parker, 54, of 2753 168th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty May 16 of operating while impaired and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail to ensure compliance with sentence; credit for time served if imposed; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with the presence of drugs dismissed.
