HESPERIA — A garage was destroyed and an attached single-story home was “extensively damaged” in a fire at 9263 Sunset Blvd. Friday afternoon, April 29.

Hesperia Fire Department was dispatched to the scene  at 2:33 p.m., Eichenberg said. When firefighters arrived, the garage was “fully engulfed,” the chief said. Firefighters went inside the house and quickly extinguished the fire. “We got it out pretty quickly.”

It’s more than likely that the house will also be a total loss, he said. The home is owned by Jim Pearson, and it is insured.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
