HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:
– Kenyon Clark Thomas, 28, of 1133 W. Hazel Rd., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 23 of second-degree home invasion and sentenced April 11 to serve nine months up front of a one-year discretionary jail sentence with credit for 92 days served; $1,158.12 in fines, costs and restitution; and two years probation. One count of unlawful driving away of a vehicle was dismissed.
– Brett Anthony Peoples, 24, of 109 Pine St., Shelby, pleaded “no contest” Feb. 3 to
assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer causing injury and was sentenced April 11 to 16 months to 15 years in prison with credit for 71 days served in jail and $258 in fines and costs. Two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer were dismissed. Related story here
– Joseph William Binns, 56, of 1185 W. Winston Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 23 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced April 11 to serve 120 days up front of an 11-month discretionary jail term with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $500 in fines and costs. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC) was dismissed.
– Dillan Lawrance Hayes, 27, of 13541 Pinewood Dr., Grand Haven, was found
guilty Jan. 20 of larceny from a person and sentenced April 11 to serve 90 days up front of a six-month discretionary jail term with credit for 28 days served; one year probation; and $400 in fines and costs.
– Kristopher Allen Seelye, 22, of 7968 S. 80th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 23 of lying to a peace officer and sentenced April 11 to 97 days up front of six-month discretionary jail term with credit for 97 days served; one year probation; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
– Sidney B. Fuller, 53, of 3761 N. 144th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 1 of
interfering with electronic communications and sentenced April 11 to an 11-month discretionary jail term with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $400 in fines and costs. One count of firearms possession and one count of domestic violence were dismissed.
